you can't experience architecture without walking through the building, and this is simply one window into an amazing evening . . . see him!

He is much better than good. The show is much more than just the music. He interacts with his audience and shapes the show based on the audience reaction. This video is a little off in that it does not show his method of interaction in a better light. Such are the limits of YouTube so don't judge Michael on this video alone, check out the rest on YouTube and if you can make it to his show even better.

shameless self promotion... well so what? some of what he said around the 1 mnute mark made some sence to me ;) not to mention it sounded pretty damn funny.

Hey I know from personal or professional experience if you will, ya gotta resort to the "shameless self-promotion" when you're an indie.

It's shameless self advertisement time, near the end of the first set... I'd probably talk allot too. Especially if I'm trying to sell cd's.

I have seen Mike at least 15 times. This is not typical of him. Not sure what he was thinking.

I agree if he could cut to the chase I could appreciate his talent much more
aschleman (January 28, 2007 at 5:20 am)
his shows are a lot more about the entire experience than his music.... you have to see him live to appreciate him.

Agreed. He's one of those musicians that people get really attached to. He used to play Guru Java now and then in Lafayette, and those shows were just magic.
