It's because he hesitated halfway. he maybe could have held on and hit the rear brake after that but he was pretty screwed

he should of hugged the Handel bars on the landing and this is the start of the front flip like the back flip happened the same way it wasn't landed but opened a window of opportunity

i looked this up and apparently Jim DeChamp was trained to do a front flip by travis pastrana

well actually, i saw an interview with travis once and he said quitting for now since he feels he already has enough trophys and other rewards to keep him happy for now, he said he wont be back until the bar is raised even higher.
