tapping has been around since classical times, he recreated it.

Yea you are correct. Many guitarist were tapping before Eddie, such as Ace Frehley of Kiss and Brian May of Queen. Eddie just built on what guitarists like this had started.

EVH holds his pick with his middle finger and his thumb so he can tap.

well it makes it easier to hit the lower strings if you play up and sometimes you might not get a loud enough pulloff

hey, i love tapping when im just trying to show off but when i do it, an dthen i stop i hear that some of the lower strings vibrate even though i didnt touch them im guessing i just move the guitar to much but any help to stop this? thanks

David, how should i set my amp/effects for a good tapping lead/solo. When i try to tap using my finger it doesnt come out very powerful. With my pick its a bit better but still not as powerful as i want it. The action on my Ibanez is low fyi.

its alright, has two channels but only one EQ but i cannot get any distortion whatsoever on this amp.
