Free software should give anyone the freedom to do anything with it. Free doesn't have to have anything to do with money.

You already have freedom. The freedom to use Proprietary and Free software. You can use either to create YOUR OWN programs, and do with them whatever you wish. Don't listen to this fat, disgusting, dirty hobo, who really only cares about one thing: his crusade. He has no wife (ever) and no children (ever), but attacks those who DO care about these things.

most of people misunderstand these "open source" thing. even if you aren't a programmer, you can benefit from it, because everybody can modify the source code. bugs can be fixed more quickly, the new relases are more frequent, and etc. and if you have a problem, you don't have to rely on a company's tech support. anyone who knows the program's source can help you. whoah, maybe i become too RMS-ish :DD

I believe there are better justifications for why average users benefit may from free software. Free software is capable of a more intrinsic usage, than proprietary software. Since money is rarely required to make free software better, the target audience may integrate far more easily.

of course there are better justifications i was only responding to zoldello question, about who can modify a code, and who has the time to do it. Free software involves a new way of seeing things, propietary software always require money to survive so it damages the etic of world, entering on a fight of who can make the best software in the shortest time, free software involves an age of sharing for the comunity, and as one fight for world development
