I play for my county and have a national ranking so heres some tips for your overhead shots...
Bring your racket back so that the inside of your elbow is more or less of a 90 degree angle and make sure the shuttles above your head hit when the shuttle is infront of you and dont try to hit it behind you or you will loose balance...
good luck:D:D:D

Yea, good advice. Pity I'm too slow to get back those long shots :(

What dya meen?
If it is behind you when you do the shot try and do a scissor kick which will give you a boost so you can get back to the middle easier.

What i mean is, I can barely jump and I'm a very slow runner. So getting to the back to return properly is a challenge.

Hi,nice to meet you^^
From My Advice,When i am training with someone, when they give me overhead shots, sometimes i will just drop them in front of the opponent net or just hit back high.
I am left handed^^Sometimes overhead shot is nice to play with your opponent.
(When single)Like~when your opponent give you an overhead shot, while u r in either left or right corner, just drop back in the front of the opposite corner.SO do you get what i mean?
Anyway Nice To Meet You Here =) ^^

the ones that go directly to the end of each corner is the 'basic' footwork

only taufik can play a backhand as good as a forehand, until you're as good as taufik, use your overhead

here's a tip. if you want to get faster, try using less steps as possible. take BIG steps. that's why you see pros using only 1 or 2 steps
