E-Sky has a $19.95 R/C Computer Simulator. How's it work?
BackXHeli.com's website sells this sim.
Pay for the E-Sky USB Transmitter and FMS program is included free, as a shareware program.
The program Graphics are Crystal clear. Also cheaper than a half a tank of gas, this is an affordable TOOL to help learn R/C flying, without the expense of crashing real models.
I had none of this when I learned and it cost me thousands of dollars and hours back then.
To get it to work on Vista required downloading a DLL file from the internet. This worked well. I also had to run the Transmitter through a USB multi port block, so the required resistance was met. It would not work plugged directly into the Computer's USB port. If your TX is not being seen, try that.
So I hope you folks learn on a simulator first, saving yourself some aggravation when you begin to fly real models.
Hope this video gives you an insight of the program.
I apologize for the fuzzy video, but it should still give you an idea of how well this sim works.
Thanks for watching, good luck, and happy flying.

Hey Dave. Just got my Honeybee cp2 in the mail. I also got this sim too. I got the sim that plugs directly into the actual controler you use to fly the cp2. When I try to calibrate the controller the bars move and stuff but when I try to fly it nothing happens. I'm running on windows xp, any suggestions. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you have to go into the program setup tools and change the controller to say joystick. Try all of them and you should see it work. I don't have mine hooked up to see right now for sure.

Is this a cheap, crummy, simulator, or whould you recomend it to learn on?( for RC helicopters).
NightFlyyer (November 13, 2008 at 6:03 pm)
This isn't that bad, as all sims teach how to use the controls, what they do, plus teach you orientation. For $20 how can you lose?

for a beginner and up for those money its great . u save those 20 bucks on your first crash so practise a lot before u lift up your heli. what u get in the more expensive ones is more graphic detail but for a beginner i would recommend this (its fms) but if u want onother one that i think work with this controll also , search for helisimrc in google and there u have another free sim 2 download with better graphic .i hope this was som kind of answer that u can have any use of and enjoy ur flight

how much was your honey bee? would you recomend the honey bee king 2 or the one you have? which honey bee model do you have? Thanks.
NightFlyyer (November 10, 2008 at 7:47 pm)
MY CP2 was $129, but the MK3 is only $99 and what I recommend to learn on. Do not get the King 2 to learn on. See, my King II video to see how sensitive it is. Watch for my next video too, where I show how to use the transmitter to fly rc.
