All of the people that bash this movie's quality have obviously been fed the bloated meat of Hollywood for so long that they forget what a movie is all about; TELLING A STORY. That story should be inspiring, and most of all, leave the viewer with something better than they came in with. Hollywood has lulled people in to a world of slick production, dazzling CGI, overpaid actors that are vile, and nothing but a desire for more of the same. What a shame. That's what our society has turned into.

I could have the best story but if the presentation and production are so bad as to take away from the ability to enjoy the film, then it's pointless (see: The Star Wars Prequels)

What are you guys talking about? this movie may not have the best actors and stuff but it does have a good story. a man is dishonest and his live is spirriling downhill. he lets the lord jesus be in control of his live and everything becomes great to him. he ends up paying his debts etc. the movie just shows if we have faith in the lord he can make everything alright for us. thats all i had to say. idc mark it as spam im just pulling you guys out of the darkness.

This is NOT a good movie...this isn't even an okay movie. This is an awful movie. As a Christian, I have to say I really just don't understand the point of wasting time and resources on a project like this. Please stop, Sherwood Pictures. Please.

I totally agree with you. The small amount of people that may have been reached because of this pitiful attempt at moviemaking were not worth the money or time that was put into this. Why don't you do something useful, Sherwood Pictures, and serve the community or something that is actually worth someone's time. Because this was a waste.

Perhaps we should ask "the small amount of people" that may have been reached, was it worth the cost. Since when is a cost/benefit analysis required for every good deed done for the Lord?
ronnocnalyd (November 4, 2008 at 12:36 am)
Since the Lord called us to be good stewards of our resources and not use them on very second-rate attempts at outreach like this film. Think of the tribes that could have been reached, think of the people that could have been fed, had this subpar excuse for a movie not been made.

Flywheel allowed Facing the Giants and then Fireproof to be made, each building on the lessons learned from prev film. Without the 1st step, the journey isn't made. Flywheel, cost 100k, return - say nothing. Facing the Giants, cost 100k, return $10.2 million. Fireproof, cost $500k, return so far $26.1 million. Total cost $700k, revenue $36.3 million. Profit donated to Christian ministries. Besides, Alex Kendrick said God told him to make Flywheel; there is no Christian rebuttal to that.

I have to say that I just watched this Movie FlyWheel and I ended up at the end of the show with a major HEADACHE.. But I guess I could just ask GOD to save me.... This movie was a waste of my time.... I got so tired of hearing GOD with save us.... Anyone who thinks this movie is good, well all I can say is that I know this Doctor that bought a new couch (HINT,HINT)

Yeah, it's poor production value. But the guys had never written a story in their life or used a professional camera. Compared to professionally-produced films, it was amateur. But compared to amateur films, it was professional.
