I see what you're saying... but no. That's quite the inaccurate assessment/comparison. The whole "flashy/flamboyancy" that is associated with a many hiphop acts aren't being marketed/showcased in the same fashion. It's an entirely different thematic approach to the culture that is house; less watered down and definitely more sophisticated (and this is coming from a Cash Money head who happens to be a house afficionado - irony i know). Anywho... it's all music.
