They performed on Saturday Night Live back in the 90's. Does anyone have that downloaded?

As much as I adore Truth and Soul, this song is their masterpiece. It's arguably a bit too long but that'd be my only quibble. It's not possible to get a sense of it from a YouTube clip but if nothing else this might be the cleanest, crispest, best produced (crucially without being overproduced) and recorded song of its decade. People learning recording and mastering biz pour over it for clues.

Doesn't hurt the song's also balls out brilliant.

wow very original for some reason it reminds me of early mr bungle.

You have to remember that Fishbone were always evolving. So the direction of a song like Sunless Saturday seemed like a good selection. The other songs on TROMS were different than this song.

The album nailed a different style of music on each track. The number of types they did near perfectly is stunning. Here, take a ska song. Here, some reggae. Oh, we've got the best Sly Stone song the Family never recorded too, have fun!

The next album tried to jump within tracks and it didn't work nearly as well.

You're right, because the next single from TROMS was "Everyday Sunshine". And that was a very positive song.

The next album was a heavier rock sounding album, with mixed results. But it showed how much they matured and missed Kendal Jones.

Great song but they have way better songs than this even if this song is the song that got me into fishbone. if you listen to their album truth and soul or their debut ep you'll hear better songs
