I wanna see the whole thing. I believe this battle was on CNN at the start of the war. They televised most of this battle live. I know this cause I remember watching it. Probably the only time your gonna see a battle live and on tv.

I was there in the battle for Umm Qasr, with 15th MEU under command of the 3rd Commando Brigade (british) and the reason we encountered heavy resistance going into Iraq was because there were live news casts as we were punching through the burm from Kuwait. CNN as well as BBC were there reporting live from the start to the end of our battle for umm qasr.

They have the most troops but most of them are paper-pushers working for a fascist government. Militarized governments employee a lot of "military" personell. They have only 900,000 active duty troops.
A war with Iran would be easier for the United States to fight because they would fight more conventionally rather than the insurgency Iraq has right now. We'd destroy them with air and naval power.

Yes, but like Iraq, Iran would be host to an even larger insurgency than Iraq causing even more shit for Americans and other UN countries, thats assuming that the US don't nuke them first
Matador11990 (February 28, 2008 at 7:14 am)
That's really true. Iraq would have an insurgency. Even though Iranians don't like their government (I say that because one of my close friends lives in Iran, he loved the Shah) they don't like invaders either. I would suggest our government arms insurgencies in Iran and promotes a rebellion. Even though that might bring us future problems like Osama bin Laden turned out.
If it is a direct war it would be mostly aerial

Yes that is impressive. But i would like to see it face off against the Sukhoi PAK FA when it is introduced in 2012.
