I like the country and American people. Its those warhawks and politicans who are making billions off the suffering of others that upsets me.

No wonder 2/3 of the World hates you. Starting illegal wars, picking on small defenseless countries. Bully.

cabgt please don't talk about our Constitution, patriotism, or the American government. You aren't an American, so fuck off please.

And my impression is that you are not willing to entertain the notion that this is an illegal war on your own accord. Isn't it in your own best interest to educate yourself. I can help, but ultimately one has to be a light onto themselves. I can't hold your hand or other peoples hands through their whole politcal life. But, off the top of my head i can recommend some starting points (the titles may not be exactly correct); Vincent Burgloises testimony against George Bush.....

No I do entertain it but I disagree with it. The US followed its constitution in declaring a war. If the US didn't follow its constitution in declaring war then it would be an illegal war. There ya go recommending starting points is a lot better then just saying proven facts and then not proving them.

The big picture that i'm suggesting we look at, rather than get too caught up in debating one aspect i.e. WMD's in Iraq, is that we, as responsible citizens should question the government and pay attention to what they do. They have duped the citizens countless times in history as declassified docs and whistleblowers etc will show. The government has lost all credibility. Look at motives, who has to gain, the evidence and reputation/character and the govt often looks guilty

It is in my best interest to educate myself, did you not see my mr. pillar quote? But it is also in my best interest to force people making claims to prove their claims instead having me be the ones to prove if their claim is true or not true. For example you claim there are declassified documents, ok provide declassified documents. I shouldn't have to search, which you call educate, for those declassified documents, you should be the one searching and providing those documents to me.

I'm saying I believe the right to declare war is a nations right, as a result I don't believe the iraq war is illegal because of the fact the US followed its constitution to declare war. Never said it was right or wrong in the moral sense. Where did I say I wouldn't have a problem with a law that legalizes genocide? I'm arguing over the legality of this war and who has that authority to make the claim a war is legal or illegal. I'm not talking about the morality of wars.

Your argument has more holes than swiss cheese. You are saying we are not to seek the truth because we are not making the claim? What about when the government is making the claim? Shouldn't they provide the facts, the truth? Isn't it in the people's best interest to question their government? Submission is the friend of tyrannical government that unfornately you have fallen victim to. Why would you trust the same government that has lied to its people(de-classified) over and over again????
