Fair point I guess but I didn't want to be faffed with all the mixing of methanol and caustic. I have thought about this and I might in the future use the oil from this system in a biodiesel plant. This only cost a couple of hundred pounds.

Then you have to deal with nice things like methanol and lye. Easy choice actually.
