it was a highjacked plane. it ran out of fuel and the highjackers tried having piltos land in water. most of the passengers lived. the plane near a beach in like cost rico or somethind idk. all the beachers swam or drove boats to the aid of the people.

the maneuver he did correct just after he started spiraling you cant get out unless you put the plane into a dive and he didnt have close to enough altitude for that thats why they perform that stunt at higher altitudes now (happened to many times)

hes right he performed a manouvre at an adequate height but didnt exit properly and started spiralling. then he couldnt pull out quickly enough because ur pushing the aircraft too hard and he would have broken it and crashed anyway. as for the ejection, with a burning enjine you risk explosion so better to get out and save your life than lose 2 lives TRYING when it probably would have crashed anyway.
