yes they both went pop, collins and gabriel, but collins will always be the bigger douche.

Yeah they really suffered. Like it or not there most successful years were the 80s and 90s as a trio.

They were very troublesome. I read that Yes toured with 2 mellotrons, so they would have a back up. A good high end keyboard will duplicate the mellotron pretty well, without all the problems.

It's unfair to slag Genesis off for going more commercial in the 80's with Collins.
Do you know what song Gabriel is most famous for? It's not Genesis songs, it's his MASSIVE pop hit Sledgehammer. Look it up on youtube.
That's the peter gabriel most folks know now.

I think it's an amazing feat of Collins to run from the mike to the drumset and play drums like a spider for 3 minutes, then back to singing again.

Does anyone know how hackett got that sound?it sounds like some reverb some echo maybe some fuzz ,it is unique.
