Something that has been in service for 30+ years and it hasn't been shot down once in Air to air combat. What a beautiful thing. And it landed with one wing too.

You guys all are stupid...the f-15 was develop to combat a plane they thought had far superior capabilities than it really had...the MiG-25 Foxbat. The west thought the MiG-25 was a fighter aircraft when it was really a High-altitude FAST interceptor-and it did that job very well. The MiG-25 was made to combat the B-70 that never entered service.

The F-15 has never lost in air-to-air combat. Impressive.

In 197981 during Israeli-Lebanese border disputes, F-15As downed 13 Syrian MiG-21 and two Syrian MiG-25.During the 1982 Lebanon War, the Israeli F-15s shot down 40 Syrian jet fighters and one Syrian Gazelle helicopter. Royal Saudi F-15C pilots shot down two F-4Es flown by the Iranian Air Force in a border skirmish in June 1984, & shot down two Iraqi Mirage F1s during the Gulf War.Operation Desert Storm where they accounted for 36 of the 39 Air Force air-to-air victories. Should I continue???

the f-15 is still expected to have 25 more years in service. That will mean the air plane could be in service for nearly half a century. Truly the best aircraft ever made
