After weeks of pestering people about their favorite movie explosions, I've finally compiled a decent top ten list. I had to shorten some of the clips because of Youtube's 10 minute limit, but it's basically all there. Shit blows up.

can someone identify the films featured in the opening title of this video?... esp the one in 'MOVIE' which shoes a guy running away from imminent explosion of upside down vehicle.

I hate the explosion from Swordfish , it was just extremely fake and didn't make sense(all the cars and cops are thrown in the air and everything explodes however the nearby trees are not damaged at all).

I would of put The Towering Inferno on this list, the blowing up the tanks at the end is still one of the best. The Senic Elevator is also good. Empire of the Sun had some explosions that were good also.

I dont think No.1 is fair, seeing as it is dozens of nuclear explosions, while the rest are just 1...

What about the big rig crash in Matrix Revolutions?

I was also kinda depressed to not see a single one from the title credits...

1. RAMBO IV (claymore mine)
2. RONIN (car explosion from rocket launcher)
3. APOCALYPSE NOW
4. METRO (explosion at the end)
But i agree with no 10 and no 1 and the matrix.
