What are you kidding I used one of those photo's in a court case, googel maps didnt show what was needed, also many towns are using the photo's along with the tax maps, something that can never be done with Google E, I dont know how the pics were taken but they cover vast areas and they are very usefull. lololol I know you guys want to stick up for the underdog, but come on be real!

Python Rules!
tjerk (April 13, 2008 at 12:39 pm)
you are bound to a certain programming language (python)
your code is at google, arent there legal concerns too consider! You want to own your own code!
Control over the OS is also important for some webapps.

This is all cool but it comes with a lot of limitations.

Use Django which can be deployed in a bunch of environments and basically plugs into Google App Engine...

The IP issues are non-existent, of course you own your own code.

Python is a fine choice for a web scripting platform, but other languages are coming.

What false allegation, dickjoe? My allegation is fact: YouTube has yet to allow users to monetize their video content as promised 1 year and 3 months ago.

If a press release is about Google, Microsoft or Apple, journalists will just run with the press release without even doing any research - so the big dogs like Google literally get to write their own news - and they know it.

Wake up and smell the coffee - and put down the Google Kool-Aid every once in a while.
