These Dreamers (part 1)

Back

This is a video featuring footage from Bertolucci's "The Dreamers" with Michael Pitt, Jean-Luc Godard's "Contempt", D.A. Pennebaker's "Don't Look Back" and Oliver Stone's "The Doors". I've also added music--"Velouria" by The Pixies, (in the original Pixies video for "Velouria" the band is running over some boulders in slow motion...so I had an idea. There is a scene in "The Dreamers" where the three kids are running through the Louvre museum, so I slowed down the footage and placed the Pixies song on top of it so it would be similar to the original video/"Fred Astaire" by James (when I saw the clip in Bertolucci's Dreamers where Fred Astaire was dancing, I remembered I had a James song called "Fred Astaire" so I placed it over the visuals in The Dreamers)/"Mediate" by INXS (the reason I added the INXS song is that INXS did a video for "Mediate" that was similar to Bob Dylan's video for "Subterranean Homesick Blues", so I took the INXS song and placed it over the Dylan visuals. The INXS/Dylan video can be found in part 2. FYI-the TV featured in this video is a SON Y not a SONY (part 2 of this piece may be found on my channel)

are you the junior secretary in the Michael Pitt Defenders Club?

he sucks - deal with it

(and stop using the word "dude" ... only true imbeciles are using it these days, haven't you noticed?)

the american in this is an unbelievably BAD BAD BAD actor - ruins the entire movie

Thumbs down - way down - for that reason alone

I think Michael Pitt and Eva Green make this film. The guy who plays Theo is fine but Pitt and Green were just truly phenomenal. I can't imagine you know what good acting is Bernard, I mean it is a Black and White issue here, either the acting was good or not and Pitt's acting was great. You must speak English as a second language or perhaps you just don't like Pitt period and are biased... I don't know what it is, just know you couldn't be more wrong.

Only people with English as a mother tongue are able to judge acting? how narrow minded you must be.

I had never heard of Michael Pitt before seeing this film, so am unlikely to be biased.

Good acting transcends language -- unfortunately, so does bad -- this was just plain bad!! laughably bad!! give-me-my-money-back bad!!

I'm sorry to say that I won't be posting another clip from The Dreamers or the other films unless I have something to communicate and wish to do it through parts from the films. The clip was only part of something larger I was trying to say. There are a few more clips that others have posted.

Ακόμα δεν μπορώ να πω αν το έργο ήταν γαμάτο ή η απόλυτη μαλακία....

It's "Velouria" by Pixies from the album Bossanova.
