If you're laying on the bomb, even if the fragments didn't tear through you, it'd kill.

Ever burn hair spray or alcohol in the open? It just burns. Put it in a confined space like a potato gun and it can propel a spud fast enough to kill a man. Laying on a grenade will kill no matter what you're wearing.

you really think that the concusive force at the center of the grenade isnt great enough to kill you?..people holding m80's have blown hands off, frag grenades use a plastic explosive blend way stronger than the gun powder in fireworks not to mention the obvious difference in volume of explosive between the two, im willing to bet a large number of people would die from it if they actually did a test

well in some cases yeah, but we had a drummer at our high school who is now missing 4 fingers cause he picked up an m-80, and we're not talking about a pipe bomb or anything just the normal cardboard tube explosive. Now thats not a whole hand gone, but gunpowder is pretty pathetic compared to what they put in hand grenades the bristance level of the explosives are magnitudes greater than a conventional firework.
