WOW , where have you been.
1) it's charlie Daniels band not jack Daniels (that's a liquor)
2) Charlie Daniels wrote the original version in 1979
3) look at when this was released, 2003 (i'm pretty sure that came after 1979)
4) Guitar Hero somewhat modified Charlie Daniel's version, not Primus.

The guitar hero version is by the Jack Daniels Band. This is the original Primus version.

I just think you're worrying a bit too much...in computer games you can drive, skate, fight, grow veg, jetski, fly aircraft, make love, cook, perform surgery, fish, run companies...and the desire to do all these things and more IRL doesn't seem to be noticabley reduced in the general population. Look on the brightside; perhaps, fired by success in this game, some kids will make the step on to playing real instruments.
