He's also using a hand-made leather guitar strap just like Duane used to use--you can see it in a lot of the old pictures of him. And of course the Les Paul; what more can I say.

One thing about Honeytribe; from an Allman family tradition standpointDevon is breaking away by having just a 4pc band.
That being said, I'd like to hear him do something with Derek Trucks !!! I know Derek is probably a more versatile player, but tonally I think it'd really bring back that ABB dual guitar sound.

Derek and Warren are certainly no slouches when it comes to creating a lovely dual guitar sound. But, one has to wonder if they'll invite Gregg's sons into the ABB when the three remaining original members can no longer perform or, biology being what it is, mortality catches up. I'd love to see the band carry on as the Duke Ellington Orchestra does to this day.

It's interesting you mention the other sons. I'm not sure if they play. But back in the late 90's there was a band called Bloodline which featured Barry Oakley Jr on bass, Waylon Krieger, son of Robby Krieger of The Doors, Erin Davis on drums, son of Miles Davis...and the only one with no legacy was Joe Bonamassa on guitar...Warren Haynes played on a track also. And for carrying on in the tradition of Sir Duke, I saw video of Dave Brubeck and his grown sons..very cool !!

Thanks for your reply. I've looked at some of Bloodlines' videos on you Tube--wonderful music, and it was nice to see some footage of Berry's and Miles's sons playing.
