Sorry it's 1968, and I think she may have been eighteen.

That girl was so gorgeous and healthy looking at nineteen years old. Check out the video of her in 1969 when she was playing the drums to "Dancing in the street". Talk about hot! What transpired over the next fourteen years went beyond tragic! WHY?

Tony Paluso is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time, I love his fuzz guitar sound. Now here's something you can all laugh at - when I was a kid (four or five) I thought Karen was singing "Colin octopus's interplanetary craft"!

My favourite Carpenters song - its so quirky. The first part of the video is quite funny. What a beautiful voice she had - what a waste to die so young.

I love her voice. And her many songs. But look at her you can see she is starving herself to death. It is sicking that only in the USA would you find such a stupid thing to do.Now we have lost all that would have come , but didnt. This is stupid in the 1st class.........

Me too. I guess this song inspires E.T and Encounters of the third kind, is a fundamental song, but a secret at the same time. One of the greatest american songs. A song about universal love. About frienship with the strange. So complete.

Brilliant song. Karen Carpenter is truly missed. It makes me ill to think about all of the songs that the world has had to miss out on because of her death. She's a true legend and always will be. WE LOVE YOU KAREN!
