Stalin killed almost as many Russians the Nazis did. The Nazis were your old allies, you divided Poland between you and then you killed off the officer corps at the Katyn Forest. You invaded Finland, too.

Yes you may be considered heroes...in the east at least..but you are also traitors,you devided Poland with the Nazis at the beginning of the war,and the only reason you defeated Germany is because they launched Barbarossa..or else you would have just remained in control of Poland..but then again let's not forget the cold war after ww2

i have read 22 million dead red army...and about 30 million Russians total.
The numbers differ.
In Stalingrad there died around 3000 Red army soldiers EVERY DAY!

-In 1941 Hitler attacked USSR
-In 1944 opened western front only when USSR completely liberated its territory and started liberating Europe. In 1944 Germany was weak there was no need in western front.
