First testf-light was planned at the end of the year, delivery for the first quarter of 2009. Sounds funny. Between first flight and first delivery 3 month? God bless me that I have not to use this airplane! But as the test-flight is once again on the rocks (...after 2 years delay) we must not be worry that the first delivery of B-787 will be realized in 2009. How long it takes between first flight and delivery we learned painful with the A-380.

You shouldn't compare the A380 to the 787 problems. They are totally diffrent. The A380 was a design problem and the mindblowing complexity and sophistication of the plane.
The 787 problems are technological and logistical problems from outsourcing to much plus a very compressed and risky schedule.
Anyway even Boeing might deliver the 787 late i'm sure it won't hurt the program as it is a fantastic plane which is worth to wait and airlines know that.(aswell the A380)

That is an excellent effort by Boeing team in-order to save our 'planet earth', in terms of producing a geener, quiter, fuel efficient and cleaner air-plane, where-as this may be a step forward fo saving our planet earth.

The A350XWB will be slightly more efficient with improved TrentXWB(Trent1000core) engine and the most advanced wing in the skies aswell flightdeck.

OK, "First flight is targeted for the Fourth Quarter of 2008. No date set yet. "

And when is the next delay?? Nobody believes that this airplaine will take off earlier than 2010. May be after the A-350.

First A350-900 flight will be 2012, first delivery 2013. A year later the 350-800 then 2015 first A350-1000 delivery.
