If you think nuvinci gear system is a good idea to bye installed on a bike. DONT! It weights as much as a car..

not too much. Costco is selling bikes with it installed for under $500! It is becomming the rage in Europe. I heard it is standard on over 50 models!

but the cvt in the nissans aren't really powered by this design
its a pulley system that can change the radius of the pulley cones

Your right... But they couldn't get it to work without some help. This version of a CVT is expandible to any size any aplication.
