The BEST VERSION EVER of "SUMMERTIME" is the one an only BILLY STEWART!!! Jill Scott & George Benson have good voices but offically butchered this song with their jazzy rendition; to sing this song you got to have SOUL!

sucks. the only good version of this song is sam cooks. you can't swing this song. it's not meant to be jazzed. and they did not do a good job trying to hep it.

well, in one of his interviews here in youtube, george acknowledges that he finds jill scott amazing.simply amazing. and if youre faimiliar with his interviews youll know that he wont say such things out of sheer generosity. shes pure soul, yeah definitely, but not just that, observe her intonation, choice of notes, PHRASING etc. and youll also see how sophisticated basics can be put to.
not to mention her unparalleled timbre.
