De Dion et Bouton 75mm Autocannon
BackA French made anti aircraft gun and platform. It is the famous French 75 gun mounted on a turntable on the 35hp De Dion Bouton chassis. First made in 1913 and used through the first world war by France and Britain. It was still in use in the second world war. Top speed was over 50mph.

That is quite clearly not an autocannon. There's nothing automatic about individually handloading each shell by hand into the breach every time it's fired.

The 'auto' part of its name refers to the automobile it is mounted on. The 'cannon' part of its name refers to the cannon that is mounted on the back of the automobile.
At the time, this vehicle with this gun mounted on its back, was called the De Dion et Bouton 75mm Autocannon. That was its name.

if you can find it, the lastest version of king kong shows several guns of this type in the later part of the film.
