the a380 was designed to require the same runway lenght as a 747, so that's not bad for a plane that size!!

What an arsehole YogaNate79 is! He's the kind of person that gives America a bad name.

A brilliant video for a brilliant plane. It's nice to watch a legend being born. She is such a great aircraft and I love her so much. Airbus have created a fabulous aircraft and wish them success. The wings are made about 30 miles from where I live and have seen them waiting to be loaded on to barges at broughton. 5 stars and straight to my favourites.

does anyone know if it is built of composite material?????? plz someone answer!!!
rasalgethi999 (August 18, 2008 at 12:51 pm)
i think the A380 is 75% titanium and 25% composite materials such as carbon-fibre reinforced plastic, glass-fibre reinforced plastic and quartz-fibre reinforced plastic.

oh wow... hey is bombardier canadian, american or european??? its just my dad works there, he is working on the learjet 85.
rasalgethi999 (August 18, 2008 at 4:39 pm)
i dunno... my sources say it's Canadian... but there are manufacturing sites in North America and Europe.

YogaNate78, you detest Europe because you hate to admit that Europe is better than America in some ways, particularly aviation.
The era of the Jumbo will still live on. Boeing is currently producing the 747-8, to compete with the Airbus A380. Who knows? It might be even fuel-efficient, 'cus it's the 21st century!
Of course, planes of huge size such as the 747 and the A380 will always be in demand because of growing air traffic.
In short, the two planes are just the same, and you are a racist.

It's got 5 kerosene tanks under each wing.
But the best part is the first-class suites. It's like a small bedroom just for you(flat screen, bed, mini sofa and 4 windows to yourself.)
I just passed the flight going up and down the two decks and looking at the engines stream trail. Great plain, and for Yoganate79, It's fuel efficient.
