While in Chicago a few years ago I came across a Blues musician who lived in Cleveland during the 60's and 70's.He told me to check out how many musicians from that time period went to Chanel or played there at sock hops and dances. On youtube alone I have found over 50, Dan Hridlika being one of them. I remember seeing the Amboy Dukes there with Cyrus Erie.I heard that the James Gang had an original member from there also. Chanel must have had one heck of a music department

In the fall of 1973 I was 16 with a fresh drivers license & a ratty orange 66 Mustang convertible. My first date was to see Circus in concert at my high school (Chardon High east of Cleveland). Thanks for a great posting and the WIXY promo!
