man this guy was good! now that is the tricky part to being an on air! talking the whole time you are changing tapes knowing which buttons to fade up or down, nobody really knows what goes on behind the scenes. they think you just put on a record and let it play. hell know the first time I got to see what went on behind the scenes and how the jocks had to answer the phones and keep things afloat live! oh my.

I have always been confused about Jack Armstrong. Right down to how he used his first name Jack/Jackson. I used to think that there were TWO different J.A.'s Now I realized there was only one. I think!! LOL LOL

I first met Jack at a WIXY remote broadcast at Senior Tacos in Cleveland, in 1966. The next time I met Jack was at a High School rally in 1967. He has inspired many, many people over the years. Jack is simply the best "Boss" DJ ever! No one even comes close!

I first heard Jackson (John) on 1050 CHUM in Toronto as a kid, he was the best, surpreme personality and talent. He is 1 of the reasons why Im in my 30th year On-Air as a ROCK-JOCK TODAY. He was a great mentor and I will miss him. The Radio world has lost a true PASSIONATE HUMAN BEING.
A TRUE RADIO MAN ! GOD BLESS THE LARSH FAMILY.

I remember listening to Jack Armstrong on KKHR in Los Angeles in the early 80's he had a great sense of humor. I was lucky enough to meet this legend at Goody's Night Club in Fullerton California this is when Madonna was popular. RIP will be missed by many.

He used to also be on KFRC 610AM in San Francisco around 1982. When I was a kid, I used to listen to him on WKBW out of Buffalo, New York, when I was living in Niagara Falls 1970-73. airjor1, Sacramento, Ca.

He was the greatest I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. I first heard heard him on vacation with my family visiting near Cleveland. Then when he came to 13Q in Pittsburgh in 1973, I was ecstatic !! What can you say, he was my LEEEEEAAAADDDDER !!!!
