the shoes and the bad and some of the clothes would b kinda fashionable today...if you worked with it. but i dont like the style. modern is more comfortable. i dont have to wear a long dress and suck in my ribs just because a man tells me to. these women are acting so controlled. i would have hated to live in those times. no job, just cook and clean and follow every mans orders like a dog. no thnx.

Note the old-style telephone number at the beginning! WAlker 4-5600. Visit the EXchange name project website for more details about those old numbers!

Seriously jeans and a tank top is more comfortable though. I only wear skirts but people like to be comfortable.

The reason their clothing was like that was because they wore tight girdles. The fashions are pretty but they don't look comfortable.

They are beautiful but keep in mind because of rationing not everybody dressed like that. Some fashions are pretty now. I heard that girdles back then were uncomfortable.

this is over rated i think. the cuts and syles were just horid. and the way the woman discibed everything made me think of Marth Stewert. and trust me thats no one i want to be dressed like. i do like what Saramarie said about effort, but i am amazed and glad we dont dress under 20lbs of fabric anymore...

they were in the '4Os,obviously you wouldn't like them, they are from another times!,the people used to like those, probably if they could see our today's clothing they would black out, and tell us we are just rude by wearing pants,it's too unconventional for those times :|
