Why can't we see how you shoe-horned a V8 in there? From anything visible, that could just be a regular Mini (plus roll bars and custom steering wheel) overdubbed with V8 sound. I'm not saying that's what it is, but there's no visual evidence to the contrary.

the one on the web site was a test build to see if it might work, body was too rotten to actually use. was then transferred to a road legal car when i new it could be done

There's no humor in being disturbed/forced awake/getting raised stress levels etc that may come from noise pollution.

An analogy to your example: When buying a new firearm, it's compulsory to discharge the weapon around the neighbors house to hear what it sounds like. May or may not be illegal depending on where you live.
