nice idea, but speeds cannot be sustained. look at what happened to the x-15 after a flight. anything exposed or bulging was burnt like bad bbq. plus, to sustain such speeds, the body of the plane would have to be as sharp as a knife at the leading edge!

china and russia are still our enemies well build it

So do you know where all the stuff you consume come from, maybe the things your children are playing with? They are from china! There may be differences, though, but they are no real enemies for you...
I am european if you wanted to ask :P

it is still not out, not sure if they will build it

but if people went to war they might die so machines do the war part and we do the art part

because yoou can replae an aircraft whereas you cannot easily replace an experienced pilot.

Look what Happened to both Germany & Japan in WW-II towards the end, both had plenty of fighters left, but very little experienced pilots.

true, but im talking about civilian airplanes too. for example, the auto pilot on airliners is flying the entire time, while the pilot only takes off, and does half of the landing. thats it!
shanex15 (September 19, 2008 at 8:41 am)
then buy your own plane then you wont have to fly on auto pilot ^^
wiiowner1996 (October 1, 2008 at 1:03 am)
So you want civilian pilots having their hands on a yoke for a whole 13 hour non-stop flight? I get what your saying about military but with civilian the pilot gets the plane in the direction of it's destination and then it flies straight (where the AP kicks in) and when they are on approach the pilot does his or her job, getting the passengers on the ground safely.

ok, but i still like the idea of people flying the planes. robots are replacing people too much now. pilots aren't getting paid as much because they arent doing as much work. i just feel that some things should be done by humans and not machines. flight is an art, and now macchines are taking it away!
