the interesting point of this video is , after 20 min american understood there is something over their head , and 3jet fighter and one helicopter could not hit this UAV

I am sure that the fleet commander was not too worried about that "drone". The fact is that Iranians are no where near to the USA in UAV technology. Lame

I think that is something to be concerned about. It takes nothing to have similar technology armed with a 5oolb bomb. If this thing could get that close it could easily drop a well placed bomb and that ACC would be toast. There goes 2 Billions dollars plus a Billion in equipment ( and oh ya...how many thousand men?...to a drone and a 500lb? I'd be worried.

Hi friend, I am not sure if you know about the UAV technology that Iran utilizes. The UAV in this film was launched from a vehicle. These UAVs can not be compared to the USA's Reaper or Predator that can drop bombs. This one is purely reconnaissance and would not be able to drop a bomb. So far UAV technology is not that developed in countries that aren't allied to the USA. Russia is developing some UAVs but they are basically copies of ours. Only thing to worry about from this UAV is spying.

fair comment..I guess my suggestion is that it doesn't probably take too much to add a bomb to something that is a recon. oriented device. Military planes were not originally designed for combat, yet with slight modification the first planes could inflict damage to troops.

I am sure they could work something out so it would be dangerous, but the UAV is not that large so I don't think that it would have a large payload. I do believe that Iran does have some effective submarines that could be a problem. :( It seems like the 2nd Cold War is coming along because Russia is supplying so many countries that dislike the USA. they are also upgrading their military hardcore now because of Georgia. Most likely Georgia is just an excuse to get a larger more efficient military

Just add a slight payload of 25kilos high explosive then you got a weapon. Or UAV cruisemissle. Do not underestimate simple technology.
