Lyrics:
Guess I'll have to get out of this town
No sense in my waiting around
Only thing left for me here is pain
She's gone for sure now why pretend
Left last night with a friend
Leaving not a word that would explain
That was only yesterday
But will I ever face tomorrow
She took away what I'd had
And returned it full of sorrow
That was only yesterday
Will I ever face tomorrow
She took away what I'd had
And returned it full of sorrow
I think I better find somewhere
A place where I won't care
I need some time to hide my shame
Was only just one day ago
Found what I'd been searching for
Had left town on a late night train
And that was only yesterday
But will I ever face tomorrow
She took away what I'd had
And returned it full of sorrow
That was only yesterday
Will I ever face tomorrow
She took away what I'd had
And returned it full of sorrow
That was only yesterday
Will I ever face tomorrow
She took away what I'd had
And returned it full of sorrow

I grew up with this music in the seventies...because my mother was listening to this kind of music all the time...! Thank God, this only is why I know a band like Spooky Tooth! I love this music!

This is one of my fave by Spooky Tooth. In the '90s, a band from England came out called Ocean Colour Scene. Listen to their album "Mossley Shoals" and you'll definately hear a Spooky Tooth influence.

I completely love the Ceremony album. It's an acquired taste I know, but it works for me especially side 1. There's such a lot going on in Jubilation and Have Mercy. Like nothing else ever.

Great song, Classic rock should play this in America but they don't. Even "The Hoofer" from their last album The Mirror is a topflight track. Whether it was Luther or Mick Jones on guitar one constant. They were just good!
