Thunderbirds is still regularly shown on Australian TV. Please - no nasty comments - we've got the electric on over here now and everything !
BTW, I think Paris Hilton looks like a thunderbirds puppet. Doesn't make as much sense of course. Now that I think of it if anyone needed someone controlling her very move it's that poor kid.

Don't forget that Thunderbirds was shown in the 60's. Such a show is WAY too highbrow today and would go over the heads of today's kids, drugged out on Ritalin and Prozac. It was a show for its time when stimulating scientific fantasy was important. Today's kids have only tyranny and menial servitude to look forward to so why lift their spirits with great TV? There was an imposter CGI Thunderbirds movie in 2004; it sucked because our anomic society cannot produce great screenwriters.

That's what separated shows then from now. Action shows, even the kid shows, weren't written as if they were for kids.

Possibly the greatest fucking TV show in the world. My god ... I am sure if you look closely, you will find the meaning of life in those little puppets.

i was more of a fan of gerry anderson's terrahawks as i loved the monsters etc. just wondering seeing you're a huge fan of tb what you think of terrahawks?
