Textron- Corporate/College Partnerships
BackHiring a school or organization to create a partnership is not an easy task. Textron goes through a rigorous process when it comes to searching through proposals, and to make sure the university can put together a program that is customized specifically for Textron.
One thing any organization should do is to take advantage of what the university brings to the table. Textron warns that if you do not leverage the product that reeled you in, you will not acquire what you bought.
Piecing a program together is a yearlong process, not the stereotypical few weeks. Textron continually educates their university partner on what they're doing, not just in one topic area, but as a company. The goal is for educators to be able to stand up and speak "Textron" then people will be turned off quickly.
The key to a successful program lies in the partnership. A company has to (1) know it, (2) feel it, and (3) be confident that the university is willing to invest their resources and take the time to do so. Every school Textron works with must be willing to take the time and invest in all their resources. Because they are buying a package with the university, a relationship will be built where both parties will learn a lot from each other. If the partnership is not there, it's really a no-go situation.
