So now that freedom of speech thing is extended in greater abundance to Chicks because they are famous? I doubt you'd be so supportive if they said Sharia law should be the law everywhere. Up here in the NYC area country music never gets any attention. But now I'm discovering a lot of the Dixie Chicks' music on YouTube. And while I was aware of Natalie Maines' controversial statement in London 5 years ago, why was it such a big deal in the rest of the country? That statement seemed to be miniscule compared to the facts that George Bush didn't prevent those attacks and that the invasion of Iraq was based on lies. Has anyone who was mad at them back then become fans of theirs again?

They can say whatever the HELL they want, when they want. I served in the 82nd for 6 years just so they CAN do what they're doing. Wake up and smell the coffee, dude. Bush is the worst president we've had since Johnson...and they BOTH kept us involved in a fight where MY friends and our country's youth are in a G.D. meatgrinder for NO GOOG REASON AT ALL!! Vietnam and Iraq...the irony is so thick, you could slice it. SO LET THEM SING! THEIR WORDS ARE THE GODDAMN TRUTH!!
