It was not just Buffalo either. I was a kid in Michigan at the time. Michigan is no stranger to winter and we where out of school 12 days from this one

I was only 6 when this Blizzard hit, but I remember not being able to go outside because the white powder snow was well over my head.

Oh I remember this day like it was yesterday. I was only 17, When my friends and I realized how dangerous this storm was we chose to walk from the corner of Royal and Niagra to Riverside Ave...it took us almost 2 hours to walk that short distance. I couldn't call my parents it was awful. Cell phones would have been a blessing at that time

i LOOK OUTSIDE THAT WINDOW AND GO YI, THE NEW YOYURK STATE THRUWAY IS CLOSED THE NIAGARA SECTION MAY HAVE ENTRANCES AND GET AWAY WITH IT, BUT YOU CANT, OHH GREAT ABBA!!! HAHAHA BUT NO SERIOUSLY YOULL DIE IN A BLIZZARD DONT WANDER offffffff!!!!!! YOULL DIE!!!! HOW CAN ANYBODY LIVE THERE!!

LOL just relax, stay calm even if your stranded on the highway, and the snow has now barricaded you inside your car.

I lived in Niagara Falls then, I was only 6 but I remember it well! We couldn't get out our front door, my dad had to climb out the upstairs window with tennis racquets tied to his feet to get to the store!
