To bad the US doesnt use this anymore, guess the A-10 wasnt effective enough when they could fly with 1 wing...sounds good to me.

You might want to let those active duty, Guard and Reserve A-10 pilots know that they're not supposed to be flying then. They might let you in on a little secret - we are still flying the Hog.

The Air Force still uses the A-10 and it still works fine with all the new improvements against a weak enemy (dated anti-aircraft weapons)... even though insurgents don't have tanks, we still use them as ground support often in Iraq.

Yes. The A-10 is an infantry-close-support only aircraft... It's not supposed to go up against other air craft....
