The speed of sound is about 330 meters per second,
that thing went at 318 meters per second i owrked it out at, so no but it was fucking close!!

But i agree with you, gets on my nerves when people cant tell the difference between a U2 and a SR71. SR71 is the best plane ever constructed imo.
