You might be thinking of the B-52, whose nickname is Buff(Bif Ugly Fat Fu****). The SR-71 is known as the Blackbird or sled by the pilots.
The Blackbird flew at a high enough altitude that it was far enough from SAMS and it could outrun any missile fired at it from a certian distance.

8D9B5L...true the Habu was fast, but don't forget the RSO in the rear cockpit managing the most highly developed EMC systems ,even by todays battlefield standards,that denied missile lockon in every spectrum range elect'infar'or rw'......DON'T FORGET THE GUY IN THE REAR.....

It's all about air resistance. There is one on display at the Kansas Cosmosphere that I enjoy seeing. What a fantastic plane.
