Original 13 minute short film.
Bottle Rocket follows three friends (Owen Wilson, Luke Wilson and Robert Musgrave) as they attempt to become gangsters...
The short film was originally set to feature established actors but because of the low budget, the main characters were given to brothers Owen Wilson and Luke Wilson, who had never been in a movie before.

2:20-3:17 was filmed at the Highland Park Pharmacy on Knox St. in Dallas, Texas. They make the best damn grilled cheese I have ever had.

are you sure about that... the video quality is not so good so you might be, but if this is the same soda fountain as in the full length then its not in highland park, its in Grand Prairie. as is the pinball scene after the heist(full length)

It is not the same one as the full length one. In the long version when the leave the soda fountain and are playing pinball... The part where they play pinball is the Burger House in Snider Plaza, by S.M.U. The motel where they stay is in Hillsboro,Tx. Just of I35.

In the full length the pinball scene is on the corner of center and main in grand prairie. a good clue to this is a small blue chevy truck drives by with the grand prairie ISD logo on it and crosses through the intersection. its not the same establishment anymore, its an antique shop now, but if you go there you can stand look out that same window. It's right next to the soda fountain and the barber shop were bob almost gets a hair cut.
