2007 PRCA Pendleton Rodeo -- A Steer Dies, An Announcer Lies

Like all rodeos, the Pendleton Round-Up Rodeo brutalizes animals. Here a steer is killed, and the announcer lies to the people in the stands. It's despicable, but it's also a common practice. Rodeos deny the abuse, and deny the injuries and deaths. This announcer got caught.

It's worth mentioning that the East Oregonian, a local Pendleton newspaper that brownnosed the rodeo to an embarassing degree, has failed to cover any of the overwhelming abuses documented by SHARK investigators. Furthermore, the East Oregonian also provides a trophy for the animal abusers at the rodeo. So much for journalistic integrity at the East Oregonian.

What the hell is the announcer know?? He is just announcing. How does he know what has happened in the arena. What the hell do you want him to say with lil susie and billy in the audience if the steer did die?? " Oh i am sorry folks that steer just broke his fricking neck, yep looks like he's dead from here!!" Get real you ignorant people!! Get a life!! Go after real animal abusers. You got michael vick!! first of all its not called steer busting there buddy its called steer tripping or steer roping. to everyone at shark if you don't like something then why the hell do you go and watch it and video tape it?? just stay away. let me tell you something you will never win if it comes down to it adn they make team roping and other rodeo events illegal then people will just have to come to my house to participate in them because i will still have backyard rodeos. screw shark its totally gay.

this video is absolute crap i rope calves, steers and rodeo all the time. I know that we as cowboys take all the care in the world when dealing with our livestock and you have no idea what your talking about you shithead. you were obvoisly never around animals when you were little and dont know that freak things happen and animals may die. oyu think this is a perfect world and nothing dies cause if oyu think that you a complete shithead and no nothing about rodeo you fucking idiot.
