yes it is. its weird because half life 2 came out a long time ago, and future weapons just recently did a bit on the mp7, so half life 2 had like insider info or something. i dont know, maybe its been out a while

The MP7 was made my Hechlor and Koch, created as a PDW(Personal Defense Weapon), which is also for civilians... the MP7A1 uses a special .28 caliber bullet which has armour piercing material in it. The Bullet of an MP7 can drill straight thorugh the helmet of kevlar, and is extremely compact in size, making is a very handy gun in all types of situations...

cool little gun

It's just a special purpose sidearm. It's compact design makes a better choice than a carbine for in vehicle protection as well as personal protection. It's also a better backup than a conventional pistol.

This gun is no where near as devistating as the G3. It's a pop gun by comparison.

As for 9mm being an over-penetrator, you have high penetration 9x19 and low penetration 9x19.

The 4.6mm slug penetrates mutiple kevlar panels yet it doesn't over-penetrate? It must be magical

Its not a sidearm. Its a short version of the G3 which can also shoot through trees. Its germany quality not US :P
Bf2009 (August 13, 2008 at 8:02 pm)
No, it's not. First of all it shares nothing notable in common with the G3. You're talking about the MP5. Second, these PDWs were introduced because in tight quarters such as room clearance, your rifle would be too cumbersome, so you'd usually rely on your sidearm. Most pistol and SMG rounds, however, are incapable of penetrating body armour. The MP7 is designed to bridge that gap but retain small size. There is also the HK UCP pistol which fires the same armour-piercing round.

watch "future weapons" u can use it as a main weapon.
