Actually they got a similar laser system, but:
1.They don't have to show everyone every bit of "new technology"
2. They ain't got the resources.
3. USA had help when they developed these lasers. So don't be to proud.

THey do this on distances of hunderd(s) km?
The video shows missile kill on the raising trajectory. Ah well. They are 40yrs from date of entering service at best.
