Also at Huckabee's analogy; "don't pick something off the shelf you can't afford to buy." Then why in hell did administration buy the unaffordable Iraq war in the first place?!

I don't think you understood. Imagine me taking your car without your permission to give you a surprise paint job and I wreck your car.Even though I had good intentions and actually made it worse,I have the responsibility to make it right.I can't just say "sorry eiendeeai , I made things worse by trying to make things better so I'll leave since I royally screwed up" . You would say " You aren't going anywhere until you fix my car". Just as the U.S. needs to make things right in Iraq.

Yes, I agree with your analogy, robdper. However, it was not the American people that decided to invade Iraq, it was the administration. So imagine this; I know you and I trust you. You ask if your friend or relative can borrow my car. I trust you have good judgement in your friends/your family is responsible. He/she wrecks it. Should I hold you accountable for that? You and your family/friend, after all, are "united."

Besides, fixing a car is totally different from fixing Iraq. How are we going to fix it? Establish a democracy? A democracy is basically majoritarianism. I quote Paul, "A truly democratic election in Iraq, without U.S. interference and U.S. puppet candidates, almost certainly would result in the creation of a Shiite theocracy. Shiite majority rule in Iraq..." Also, back @ your analogy, are you willing to work forever to fix my car? Are u willing to sacrifice your family (make them work to help)?

Again, your analogy and Huckabee's are totally different and aren't comparable to this war. Working to pay something back is totally different than sacrificing LIVES to pay something back.

Huckabee should be on the ticket with Senator McCain. I hope he realizes what a great partner Mike Huckabee would make...
