I think we should just hide with -6 votes all comments like "that is shit" and "we are the Nr.1".
I respect US and russian TV reportages where the people of an entire should know who ist "the best". But that is just propaganda.
I hope we will never find that out, since the "second best" will use nuclear weapons for the compensation!
For me I respect your US forces and hope that russian forces are respected from smart people in the US the same way.

I will add I am quite familiar with Russian Choppers having flown in an old KA-25 converted for commercial logging purposes and have spent time around Mi-24D's. Nice Choppers for sure. Well made and fairly solid powerplants and transmissions/systems. The Kamov transmissions are so well made, they are nearly indestructible, reliable as hell. As I said before, I am not prejudiced against Russian Choppers because I am American.

There is only 16 KA-50's and 2 KA-52's. less than 40 Mi-28's. There are 1,050 AH-64 Apache's in existence. The speed and maneuverability difference are about the same with the KA-50 and Mi-28. Firepower is about the same too. The AH-64 has far better systems than any of the Russian Choppers which everyone acknowledges. The AH-64 is combat proven and has destroyed more enemy tanks and equipment than any Russian Chopper. The Russian Choppers are good though, but they do not outclass ours.

No, I flew AH-64A's for 6 years from 1987 to 1993 as a Warrant Officer. I know quite well what they can do and what they cannot do. Neither the Kamov nor Mil are actually combat proven like the AH-64 and likely never will be because they will never be built in great numbers. I did not say the Kamov and Mil were inferior to the AH-64, I said they do not outclass ours. The Longbow's electronics & warfare suite are unmatched by anything in the world. Period!

well it was bombed with F15-16-18 but mostly with A10 and AH64A !!
