booksum : Agreed, perfectly put. Plus both are / were married with children. There's a fund still available for the children and widow of Hedges, who died in a car crash (skidded off the road in the rain over a cliff, I believe). See Michael Hedges website with many great song samples.

Blackmofasa92, he was amazing to watch. I saw him in the mid 80's. It was a performance, I'll never forget. He definitely left the planet too soon but he inspired so many. Today, there are many amazing players puching the boundaries just as he did.
