it's typical japanese.spend a lot of money for fun. the train is awfully expensive in every way.that's why the germans sold it. a high speed like that has also many risks. the germans wouldn't take that risk.japan doesn't care; they got the fastest train. they like records..............

once again...
What technologies did Germany sell?
Why can't you answer this quite simple question?
phantom380 (November 17, 2008 at 5:03 pm)
listen, dont go talking out of your ass. all i'm saying is that germany sold its tech. to japan. however japan converted that technology and made it their own is beyond me. I'm sure the japanese used that tech in some way, otherwise they wouldn't have bought it. get your pride out of your ass and maybe you could realize that fact

In 2001 Germany sold it's maglev technology to Japan. By 2003 the Japanese had perfected that technology to break a world record

I got 6 negative marks for that comment. but I stand by it, do your research!

>I don't see the point in having to spend so much money on maglevs.

What politicians in Japan insist is similar.

"Until Shinkansen of the coventional railed train being constructed in the throat country of domestic part,
these kind of things will not be permitted by us absolutely ."

I don't see the point in having to spend so much money on maglevs when the french can build a coventional railed train that can go just 7km/h slower.

When you have rails it means you need to keep replacing them. If the train floats on air there is no contact with the rail which means you never have to replace the track.

giroppon got this off of Wikipedia, i expect. A website of misinformation however, i think be might be right.
